Google Meet’s noise cancellation feature is rolling out on iOS and Android

Google Meet brings noise cancellation to Android and iOS apps. But unfortunately, it won’t be available to everybody . Only the GSuite Enterprise and Education customer can take advantage of this feature .”In desktop platform this was already available back in June

The noise cancellation technology will reduce background noise. One should not have to hear  barking dogs, chirp of birds, vehicle horns, keyboard now . If u want a demo check out this video from Serge Lachapelle , director of product management, GSuite at Google.


By default the noise cancellation feature is turned . One has to manually turn it on by accessing the call’s setting. The feature will be fully implemented within few days in smart phones.

How to turn on the noise cancellation feature in Google Meet

Before a video call

  1. Go to meet.google.com and then select a video call.
  2. Before you join, on the top right, click More options More and then Settings Settings.
  3. Click Audio .
  4. Turn on Noise cancellation.
  5. Click Join now.

In a video call

  1. On the bottom right, click  More options More and then Settings Settings.
  2. Click Audio .
  3. Turn on Noise cancellation.
